I welcome you to my blog, d’Eats. I am a home cook, with a long history of family dinners, quick dishes, old standards and new experiments from a lifetime of kitchens. The Deetz family has professional chefs, bakers, and restaurateurs. I am none of those, but we Deetzes also spent our lives with people who love food, love cooking and enjoy the sense of family that food brings to any gathering. It is in that spirit I share my recipes and some extended family recipes, with all of you.
